We made a visit to a very impressive facility in Qui Nhon which represents the government's efforts to treat leprosy. Their power point presentation included a vast number of statistics on leprosy and trends in this disease over the last few years.
In addition to having a sparkling facility with surgical rooms and numerous doctors, they also have a department for the crafting of special shoes for those lepers with foot deformities.
We presented them with 4 large bags containing over 1300 bandages produced by the D.O.V.E. Fund Bandage Brigade.
While at this facility we also visited a senior housing facility for lepers and enjoyed meeting the friendly residents who, judging by their reaction rarely get visitors.
